Brand Identity
Art direction, logo & brand systems, graphic design for web and print.
Most of the work on an identity happens after the logo is signed off. The mark has to sit on a dark background, shrink down to a favicon, and hold its shape over moving footage. That is where an identity built to last shows the difference from one that only looks good on the first slide.
What holds it together is the system around the mark: type scale, palette, grid, and an answer ready for every awkward case.
I build that system, then everything that comes out of it: print, web and motion, all from one desk. When the person designing the mark is also the one animating it, every decision gets tested against motion early rather than discovered on set six months later.

Indicative pricing
Indicative starting points; most full systems land above the floor once scope grows beyond the essentials.
- Logo & core identityfrom €1,200
- Full brand system (type, palette, grid, guidelines, print and web design, icons, illustrations…)€5,000 to €7,000+, depending on scope
- Bilingual EN / JP system (built on a full brand system)from €6,000, most run €8,000 to €10,000+
Ex-tax, invoiced in JPY at the invoice-date rate. Ask for a quote, I'll get back to you within 48 hours (Tokyo time, GMT+9).
How a project runs
- Brief and positioningI send you a short form to fill out: what the brand is for, who it talks to, and what it will sit next to in the wild.
- DirectionsRoutes shown as real applications, on packaging, on screen, on a sign. A logo floating on white does not tell you much.
- Build the systemThe chosen route developed properly: marks, type, colour, layout, and the edge cases nobody thinks about until launch week.
- Write it downGuidelines someone else can follow. The brand has to survive being handed to a printer, a developer, or whoever designs for you next.
- Produce the first piecesLaunch applications built for real use: print files, web layouts, motion assets, rather than a system that only exists in a PDF.
Before you ask for a quote
Can I commission just a logo?
You can. A mark on its own usually runs into trouble the first time it has to sit on a dark background, a business card and a video end-card in the same week. Most of the time I suggest a small system instead: the mark, a type scale, a palette, and the rules for using them.
Do you work in Japanese as well as Latin type?
I have been in Tokyo since 2017 and work in French (native), English (fluent) and Japanese (intermediate), so bilingual lockups and Japanese-market applications are familiar. Where a project needs a lot of Japanese copywriting, I say so and bring in a native writer.
Can you design the website as well?
Yes. Web design is part of the same practice, and this site is an example of it. I can hand over layouts for your developer or build the front end myself, and the identity stays intact either way.
Can the identity move?
That is usually why people come to someone who also does motion design. Logo stings, animated brand systems and video end-cards come off the same desk, so the moving version is not another studio's reinterpretation of your guidelines.
What does it cost?
Indicative starting points are listed above. The final figure is quoted per project once the scope is clear, since a single mark and a full bilingual system are very different jobs. Tell me the scope on the contact page and a fixed quote comes back inside 48 hours, Tokyo time.
